Mac Tip: Instantly Organize Your Cluttered Desktop

If your Mac desktop looks like a digital explosion of files, here is one of the easiest ways to get your space back: Stacks.

Instead of manually sorting every file, right-click (or control-click) anywhere on your empty desktop wallpaper. From the menu, select Use Stacks.

Your Mac will immediately group all your files by type (e.g., all PDFs together, all images together). When you click a stack, it expands; when you move a new file to the desktop, it automatically sorts itself. It’s an instant productivity booster for that mid-week clutter.
